Once you make a crazy play in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive you are probably ecstatic, adrenaline is pumping through your veins, and mainly you have every right to brag about it. Can you imagine how good would you feel if you had your own graffiti implemented directly into the map? Personally, I would be the happiest man in the world, knowing that the entire CS:GO community knows how good my play was.

As most of you are probably aware after every CSGO Major – graffiti will appear on a certain map where the iconic play was made. That graffiti will perfectly represent exactly what happened in the iconic play.

So far there have been only 4 of those graffiti added to the game, I will go through each of them individually.

Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev – ESL One Cologne 2016

S1mple is arguably the best player in the world at the moment. His reign of terror did not start this year, he was a machine in 2016 and 2017 as well. Commonly referred to as “The Undertaker”, Aleksandr has been known for his ability to do crazy things with AWP. That is how his graffiti was made.

S1mple’s insane play, all credits go to YouTuber Viri

In the semifinals of ESL One Cologne 2016, S1mple was playing for the North American roster, team Liquid. After carrying his team to victory over his former team Natus Vincere, Aleksandr had a challenge in front of himself, that being Fnatic. They stormed through both of the maps, with a 2-0 score in the end.

After being 9-4 up, on Cache, Fnatic roster was getting their momentum back, but then S1mple decided to jump from heaven and no-scope Dennis in mid-air, followed by a no-scope on KRIMZ. Needless to say that the crowd went insane after his play.

After the Major, one update sealed S1mple’s place in the CS:GO records, as he got his graffiti sprayed on the wall, right next to where he was shooting from. A counter-terrorist character with wings attached to him. To be honest, this graffiti looks really cool.

Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer – ESL One Cologne 2014

Everyone who is following CS:GO is familiar with olofmeister. Without a doubt, he is one of the best players that ever played this game professionaly. He is not known just for his skill set, but for his IQ and map awareness as well. He presented his skills when they were most needed.

olofemeister’s immortalized play, credit goes to @LentzTV

olofemeister’s immortalized play, credit goes to @LentzTV

In a match versus Team Dignitas, Olof’s Fnatic has won the first map, and they had to play Overpass after. They were down 11-4 on half-time, and they started their comeback. They managed to pull it back to 14-14. The 29th round was very intense, as Team Dignitas planted the bomb, and as the clock was running down for Fnatic, olofmeister decided to defuse the bomb while it was molotoved out. He managed to pull off the defuse before burning alive, with milliseconds left to spare. This shows how perfect his calculations are, and how smart of a player he is.

His magnificent brain was immortalized. He earned himself a graffiti on B bombsite of Overpass. Not only was this play insane, whoever made this graffiti is insane as well. A perfect drawing of a CT standing in fire and defusing a bomb. Overall, another very good looking representation of a mastermind.

Marcelo “coldzera” David – MLG COLUMBUS 2016

Coldzera does not need much of an introduction. An insane player, capable of killing his opponents on various ways, sniper, rifle, pistol, or even jumping. Marcel was a part of former Luminosity Gaming roster. A great anchor player, capable of getting multi-kills and securing rounds for his team.

In the semi-final of MLG Columbus 2016, Luminosity started really strong on their map pick, Mirage. However, after an 8-7 half-time result, Brazilians only managed to win one round, and they found themselves in a problem. They were 15-9 down, facing 7 map points.

Coldzera’s jumping skills, all credit goes to @Saul Goodman

Coldzera’s jumping skills, all credit goes to @Saul Goodman

This is when Coldzera thrives, in a high-pressure situation. He managed to hit 3 jumping AWP shots, while one of those shots was a collateral, one bullet killed 2 terrorists. There is not much more to add to this play, this is pure madness. A lot of people tried his method after he stumped on Team Liquid, but most of the copycats failed. Needless to say, Team Luminosity went on and pulled off an unbelievable comeback, as they closed the game in overtime. Furthermore, they won the entire thing and lifted the trophy. Also, you can guess who was voted as the MVP of the tournament. Yes, you are right, it was Coldzera.

Van position marks the spot for Brazilian player, as he is now part of the Mirage, an AWP with wings attached to it. Marcelo even tattooed this graffiti on his arm.

Fnatic – ESL One Cologne 2015

This play does not belong to the most skilled or smartest plays out there, but it was very funny to watch. It occurred on the old Dust 2, before the rework. Fnatic had to play overtime versus French roster EnvyUs. In the last round on T-side, 4 players decided to buy an AWP and peek double doors on mid. However, apeX decided to peek double doors and he was greeted by firing squad, and milliseconds after he was dead, headshotted by Fnatic’s in-game leader Pronax.

To make things even worse, this moment happened in the grand final, where Fnatic eventually lifted the trophy.

Graffiti, just like the play, looks very funny once you have seen it. A terrorist holding 4 AWPs and smiling. This graffiti fits the play perfectly. Sadly, after the rework, Valve did not add this graffiti to the new Dust 2.

What do you think, which Major play deserves a graffiti? Make sure you let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.

Initial Counter-Strike:Global Offensive release contained no weapon skins. However, after a couple of updates, Valve decided to introduce various new CS:GO skins for each and every weapon. To be more precise, skins were added on 14.8.2013., in “The Arms Deal Update”. As you can imagine, this was a big boom in the CS:GO community, as people could trade skins between them, or even sell them for Steam money, or even sell them on external trading sites, which were created in order to let people withdraw real money.

BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT SKINS

CS:GO skins can appear in three different variations: Stat-trak, souvenir, and regular skins. One thing to be careful in this department is that skin cannot be a souvenir and a stat-trak. Souvenir skins can only be acquired by opening souvenir drops, which drop from the Major matches, or by purchasing them for crazy amounts of money. One more thing about souvenir weapons, every souvenir weapon will have a gold sticker of an MVP of the round it was dropped in. Stat-trak weapons are skinned weapons which will keep track of your kills, every single kill will be tracked on that particular weapon. However, regular skins are easy to understand, they are regular skins, with nothing special attached to them, they are here only for the looks.

WEAR

There is another variable when it comes to the most popular CS:GO skins. Those are wear values. All the weapons come with one.

  • Factory New
  • Minimal Wear
  • Field-Tested
  • Well-Worn
  • Battle-scarred

As you can probably understand, having a Factory New skin is probably the best and most profitable grade of skin you can acquire. These type of skins look really nice and clean. Minimal wear and Field-tested are also looking decent enough for most of the people. However, the last two types of wear look very used, scratched and overall ugly.

SKIN MARKETS

As CS:GO was becoming more popular, so were the skins. Especially in the last couple of years, the skin industry was blooming, especially in the gambling and trading section. Sites like opskins.com, bitskins.com and similar trading posts were stocked with numerous expensive and less expensive skins, as people could actually sell them for real money, with only a small fee.

Alongside gambling and selling/buying skins, sites like skinsjar.com appeared. They were set up as trading platforms, but you were trading with the site, to be more precise, their bot. You were able to exchange CS:GO skins that bored you and acquire a new one, with a fee included in the trade.

Skin industry is going to even deeper depths. Trades and collectors started to appear. Some people were able to trade up their 1$ skin to a 100$ knife, just by trading. There are numerous videos evidence about it. Furthermore, a lot of rich people decided to create a special edition of their CS:GO inventories. For instance, there are numerous collector groups on Steam, where only people who have a total inventory value over $25.000 are invited. There are also people who are willing to pay an enormous amount of money just for one special skin. Youtuber called Sparkles unboxed a souvenir AWP Dragon Lore, and sold it to a Chinese collector for a whopping $20.000.

EASIEST WAY TO GET FREE CS:GO SKINS

A lot of younger CS:GO players can not afford the best looking or the most expensive skins in the game. However, there are a couple of solutions for those type of players. Websites like idle-empire.com and fee.gg are some of the most popular ones. You can win points on these sites by watching different videos, doing surveys or even joining random servers and being idle on them.

There are also other ways to earn free Counter-Strike:Global Offensive skins. Let’s take hellcase.com as an example. If you decide to put advertise them by putting their site in your steam username, you will be awarded a daily free spin on their site. You can win money or a free opening of a case on their site, where you will definitely win a fully withdrawable skin, no questions asked.

BEST AND THE MOST POPULAR CS:GO SKINS

At the moment, there is a crazy amount of different skins offered by Valve. Not only that, they are releasing new ones in each of new cases, which are added on a regular basis. In this article, I will go over 2 most popular skins for most used weapons in the game.

AWP

AWP Dragon Lore

AWP Dragon Lore

An iconic weapon skin in CS:GO. Only a few available to purchase, and it is one of the most expensive CS:GO skins in the game. The lowest price for a battle-scarred one is $450, while the factory new one will cost you $1.200. This skin is definitely a dream for everyone who is a competitive AWPer.

AWP Medusa

AWP Medusa

Another very popular skin. Presents the only challenge to the above mentioned Dragon Lore. Very expensive as well, but who would not want to wield that dark blue medusa. At the moment, the lowest price of AWP Medusa is $310 in the battle-scarred state, and factory new one is priced at $1.110.

RIFLES

AK-47 The Empress

AK-47 The Empress

Take a look at this beauty. Very colorful skin with a brutal piece of art included in it. You can buy it for an average of $50.

AK-47 Fire Serpent

AK-47 Fire Serpent

This skin does not look so nice, however, it is as rare as a Dragon Lore.  For a battle-scarred version of this skin, you will have to play around $40, but for a stat-trak factory new one, a stunning $4000.

M4A4 Howl

M4A4 Howl

In my opinion, this is the most badass skin in the game. But, it is very rare and as expensive as the Dragon Lore and Fire Serpent. Factory new one will cost you around $1000, while the stat-trak factory new will cost you even more, $3.500.

M4A4 Poseidon

M4A4 Poseidon

Not as rare as Howl, but another beautiful skin with a god of sea himself implemented into this sea blue skin. It is not nearly as expensive as other CS:GO skins mentioned in this article, but it is as equally nice. A better-looking version will cost you around $150.

M4A1-S Master Piece

M4A1-S Master Piece

Graffiti inspired skin, which was way more popular 2 years ago, but still, it looks really nice if it is in a clean, not damaged state. This is a fairly cheap skin, the price for a decent state of it is around $60.

M4A1-S Knight

M4A1-S Knight

A sharp, very modern look. Skin covered in pure gold. Most of the professional players tend to use this skin, as it is very unique. Prices are roughly the same, either for factory new or minimal wear state, as it only comes into these two options, $300.

PISTOLS

DESERT EAGLE Blaze

DESERT EAGLE Blaze

Another badass skin, perfect for removing your opponent’s heads. This skin is preferred by FaZe’s Niko, so if you are a fan of his, this is your chance to have some things in common. It costs around $120.

GLOCK-18 Fade

GLOCK-18 Fade

This is the king of all pistol skins. Looks very simple and modern. But for the weapon that you will mostly use in 2-3 rounds in the match, it costs a lot. Roughly around $300.

USP-S Kill Confirmed

USP-S Kill Confirmed

One bullet, headshot, and blood. This USP-S skin says it all. Once it was released, its price was sky high. But now you can find it for less than $50 in a solid state.

KNIVES

Getting a knife is a dream for most of the CS:GO community. Being able to wield and inspect something more than just a regular knife feels good. To be totally honest, you can buy a real knife way cheaper than a virtual one. With the last couple of updates came even more type of knives, so now you definitely have a tough task in front of you, that being, finding a perfect knife for you. However, since a lot of CS:GO enthusiasts are willing to invest money into the beautiful and scary knife, these would be their best picks.

Over the years, Counter-Strike accumulated a huge professional circuit. There are hundreds of teams competing each day, and new talents and players are emerging on the stage every single day. In today’s article, we will try to point out the players who we feel would belong in a CSGO Hall of Fame.

VIRTUS.PRO LINEUP

 VIRTUS.PRO LINEUP

VIRTUS.PRO LINEUP

As a sign of respect, these guys, the entire roster deserves to be on the top. Their entire line-up played a big part in creating Counter-Strike:Global Offensive as popular as it is today. Sadly, the team is falling apart with 3 players already leaving the roster, that being TaZ, Snax, and Byali. This team won a lot of tournaments throughout the year, most famously known for the “Virtus plow” chants. However, they are veterans now, and they simply can not compete with the rising talent in the likes of Astralis and Natus Vincere. But their names will definitely be written in the CS:GO history books. Here are their 1st place finishes throughout the years.

ICONIC ROSTER:

Jarosław “pashaBiceps” Jarząbkowski

Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski

Filip “NEO” Kubski

Paweł “byali” Bieliński

Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas

Even though Virtus.Pro players are not in their prime anymore, they accumulated a lot of MVP awards throughout the years of competing. Snax had 7 MVP awards before leaving to Mousesports, PashaBiceps has 3, including one Major MVP award. Lastly, NEO has 2 MVP awards.

Robin “flusha” Rönnquist

Robin “flusha” Rönnquist

Robin “flusha” Rönnquist

Robin is still relatively young CS:GO player, as he turned 24 this year. However, he achieved so much throughout his career that he definitely deserves a spot in our Hall of Fame list. Mostly known as Senor Vac, Flusha has been accused of cheating in every tournament. His ability to predict enemies and to position himself in response to that is brutal. He managed to win 3 Major titles with his legendary Fnatic squad until he was transferred to the North American organization Cloud9 in order to revitalize his career.

He was also crowned as the MVP of one of the 3 Majors he participated in, and he won a total of $717,761. He was rated in the top 20 players of the year in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Flusha also helped his team win a total of 30 tournaments, which is a huge number. Alongside his Major MVP award, he has 3 others:

IEM Katowice 2018

FragBite Masters Season 3 Finals

SLTV StarSeries X Finals

Overall, there is still gunpowder left in Robin, and he could prove to be one of the main players to help Cloud9 retain their spot as the best North American team.

Jesper “JW” Wecksell

Jesper “JW” Wecksell

Jesper “JW” Wecksell

Flusha’s teammate in old Fnatic roster, where they achieved a lot of great results. JW is a Swedish born player who was born in 1995. He is mainly known for his crazy aggressive style of play with an AWP. He is also a capable rifler, and once he gets going, he can not be stopped. A fun fact about Jesper, he has his own gaming store in his hometown in Sweden.

He won a total of 21 tournaments in his career, and he was crowned as an MVP a total of 3 times. He was also voted in the top 10 players in the world in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Once Fnatic was on a terror, Olofmeister and JW were the two main stars their team relied on. However, once Olofmeister left the squad, things were never the same again, but because JW is only 23 years old, he will definitely have a chance to cement his place among the best players in the world.

Christopher “GeT_RiGhT Alesund

 Christopher “GeT_RiGhT Alesund

Christopher “GeT_RiGhT Alesund

Another famous veteran on the list. Christoper has been around ever since the Counter-Strike 1.6, but he cemented himself as one of the best once he started competing in CS:GO. GeT_:RiGhT is a Swedish player who only played for one team, that being NIP. He is most famous because of his lurking, and ability to get multi-kills.

“If you do not know where GeT_RiGhT is, check behind you”.

Swedish rifler has one Major title under his belt, followed by 23 won tournaments and 10 MVP awards. However, he is not in his prime anymore, but there are some flashes of old GeT_RiGht every once in a while. Overall, a true legend, for whom sportsmanship and having fun was always a priority. He was voted as the best CS:GO player in the world in 2013 and 2014. He was also second best in 2010 and 2011. In 2015 he was 11th, and lastly, in, 2016 he was 18th.

Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg

 Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg

Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg

Another member from NIP roster is on the list, fellow Swedish veteran F0rest. Just like GeT_RiGht, Patrik was on a different level a couple of years ago. However, he is somehow more consistent than his GeT_RiGhT. F0rest is mostly known for his sharp aim, ability to play with any other weapon, mainly an AWP. Mixed with his enormous experience, you think that you have to play versus a machine or a cheater.

Patrik has won a lot of trophies as well. He also won one Major title, and 24 various leagues and tournaments. He was also crowned as an MVP 8 times, however, his last MVP award was presented to him in late 2016. To conclude, if this guy gets going, there is no stopping him, not just because of his aim, but because how good of a player he overall is. F0rest earned himself a total of $608.071.

Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev

 Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev

Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev

This is probably the youngest Hall of Famer on our list. Aleksandar was born in late 1997, which makes him only 21. At the moment he is playing for a Ukranian organization, Natus Vincere. He is rated as the best CS:GO player in 2018, with a huge rating of 1.32. Even though he did not win a lot of tournaments in his career, he definitely made a mark on each one he participated in. His aim is insane, his ability to play either as a rifler or an AWPer is ridiculous, and I do not even want to start talking about his Desert Eagle skills and ability to take people heads off with just one bullet.

He does not have a single Major under his belt, but he has won 5 different tournaments, and he has 7 MVP awards to his name. Numbers are strange when it comes to him, but this says a lot about his capability to constantly frag. Being crowned as an MVP of a tournament that you lost takes something special, and S1mple is a very special player.

Marcelo “coldzera” David

Marcelo "coldzera" David

Marcelo “coldzera” David

A Brazilian born player, who will turn 23 later in October. He is a former SK member, who is now playing for a Brazilian organization MIBR. Coldzera is mostly known for his ability to do something out of nothing. Give him a weapon and he will produce results(in this case headshots). He is mainly a rifler, but he is also very capable of being a secondary AWPer of the team. Furthermore, his ability to anchor a bomb site is out of this world, and in my opinion, he is probably the best anchor player in the world.

He was at his best while the team was playing for the SK organization. They have won a lot of different tournaments and leagues, including 2 Majors, and he was awarded an MVP award for both of those Majors. He and his teammates won a total of 13 trophies, and alongside his 2 Major MVPs, he also has 6 other MVP awards. Marcelo was voted as the best player in the world for two years in a row, 2016, and 2017 – safe to say he belongs in this years csgo hall of fame induction.

Kenny “kennyS” Schrub

Kenny "kennyS" Schrub

Kenny “kennyS” Schrub

Even though Kenny is only 23, he has been around CS:GO scene for a while now. He is purely known for his lightning-fast reactions and AWP skills. He is a awful type of player to play against. If he gets going there is no stopping him, he will hit every flick shot, and you can not offer him anything, not even a shoulder.

He was voted among the 13 best players for 5 years in a row. He also managed to add one Major trophy to his cabinet, followed by the Major MVP award. He won 11 tournaments in total, and he as 10 MVP awards to his name.

Somehow it feels kennyS could achieve much more if he decides to leave French organization G2. I personally think a lot of organizations are willing to offer him a contract, especially Cloud9 who main AWPer decided to leave the server for good.

Nicolai “device” Reedtz

Nicolai "device" Reedtz

Nicolai “device” Reedtz

A Danish superstar who is currently playing in Astralis. Mechanically, Nicolai may not be the best AWPer and a rifler, but his game sense and IQ are out of this world, positioning and repositioning as well. A lot of people will call him boring, but he is putting kills on board in every single tournament he plays in.

He won a lot of tournaments with Astralis, including 2 Major titles, followed by 14 other tournaments. Furthermore, he has 9 MVP awards to his name, including one Major MVP award.

Device is a type of player who could choose the team he wants to play in. He will never put himself in front of team, he is consistent, he has fast reactions. Overall, a perfect fit for any team. So far he has bagged himself a total of $933.801.

Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom

 Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom

Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom

There is not much to say about this guy. Definitely the best raw aimer in the game, ever. Period. He has been on top of every Counter-Strike:Global Offensive highlight video. He played his best CS:GO while he was a part of EnvyUs. However, they parted ways and ever since Adil is a free agent, who occasionally plays as a stand-in. However, it is just a matter of time before he is picked up by a higher tiered organization. Like many other players, once he gets going there is not stopping him, he will one tap everyone. You can not give him a chance, as he is capable to win multiple duels in only a couple of seconds.

ScreaM did not achieve much in his career so far, as he only won a couple of tournaments, and he has only 1 MVP award to his name. He was also voted as the 7th best CS:GO player in 2013 and 9th in 2016. Even though this seems like he did not do much, his sick ability to find headshots is what made him popular.

Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer

Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer

Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer

Vincent was inactive for the most part of 2018, but he is coming back in style. He will captain newly formed team Vitality. However, prior to this, he played a big part in CS:GO eSports scene. Mainly, he was an in-game leader and a rifler/lurker for French teams. Not a lot of people enjoy watching him play, but he definitely made his mark in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive. Some may refer to him as a baiter, but to be honest, he is playing a role where you will either win a round yourself or your teammates will die and you will be in a no man’s land.

Happy has won 2 Major titles, followed by one Major MVP award. Alongside Majors, he has also won a total of 12 different tournaments, and he was crowned as an MVP for 4 times in total.

Future is bright for Happy and his new team, as he will captain one of the best talents in CS:GO, Zywoo.

Nikola “Niko” Kovač

Nikola “Niko” Kovač

Nikola “Niko” Kovač

Nikola is also a very young, but very experienced and capable player. Bosnian has proven himself while he was playing for a German roster, Mousesports. His precision and first bullet accuracy are what makes him so good. He is also capable of in-game leading and putting frags on the board continuously. That sealed him a move to FaZe Clan, where he proved himself as their best player as well.

Niko does not have a lot of tournaments under his belt, as he only won 6 tournaments in total. However, he has 3 MVP awards to his name. Furthermore, Niko was voted as the second best player in 2017.

The only thing Niko lacks is a Major title, which I am sure he will win eventually, as he is getting better every year. The trend will definitely continue.

Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer

Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer

Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer

Another ex-Fnatic and Swedish player is among the best ever. Mainly, Olof is a rifler, a very capable one, as he is able to deliver multi frags regularly. He is also very proficient with an AWP as well. He played his best CS:GO under Fnatic. Once he moved to FaZe Clan, he was idle for a while, because he was coping with an injury. However, he is back now, and he is improving constantly.

Olofmeister was voted as the best player in the world in 2015, the time when he was on a terror with Fnatic. So far in his career, he won a total of 2 Major titles, and he was once an MVP of an Major. He also has 19 other tournaments and leagues in his trophy cabinet, followed by 4 other MVP awards.

Adam “friberg” Friberg

Adam “friberg” Friberg

Adam “friberg” Friberg

Yet another veteran makes his way on our list. Adam was active ever since 2007, that is over a decade of competing in eSports events. Friberg made his name famous back in the days when the competition was not that strong. He is mainly an in-game leader, but his recoil control is mind-blowing. He was playing his best CS:GO while he was a part of NIP roster, a couple of years ago.

Even though he is not at his best lately, Adam achieved a lot in his professional career. Mainly, he has won a Major title and he was also an MVP of that Major. He also won a total of 23 tournaments so far in his career.

Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo

Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo

Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo

Second Brazilian on the list. He is an in-game leader and an AWPer for MIBR. However, he played his best CS:GO while he was a part of SK organization. Gabriel is a very capable AWPer, not just because of his fast reactions, mainly because of his positioning and ability to predict his enemies.

Fallen won a total of 13 tournaments in his career, 2 Major titles as well. He also received 4 MVP awards for his AWP skills, and he was voted as the second best player in 2016.

However, this is not why Gabriel makes this list. He earned a total of $850,057. He did not keep the money for himself, he invested in the eSports in Brazil. He gave back to the community. It shows how grateful he is. Furthermore, he is an owner of Games Academy, an eSports organization whose main goal is to find talented players and provide them with the best conditions to practice and compete.

Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács

Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács

Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács

A Slovakian player, mainly an AWPer, who proved himself as one of the best for a couple of years now. Ladislav is a great mixture between an aggressive and a passive player. You never know what can you expect from him. That made him very popular and high in demand, as he was transferred from Natus Vincere to FaZe Clan, where he is still proving that he belongs at the top.

For a 27 years old player, Guardian has played a huge number of tournaments. He came on top 14 times and has 7 various MVP awards to his name. Furthermore, he was voted as the second best player in 2015, and he made the list for 5 years in a row, which shows how consistent he is.

Just like his teammate Niko, Ladislav only lacks a Major trophy to seal himself among the best players in the world, but there are still a lot of Majors in front of him.

What do you think, who else should be included in our list? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.

Counter-Strike:Global Offensive was always a competitive game. There were always a lot of teams trying their best to succeed, but some are more talented than others. In this article, I will talk about 10 best CS:GO teams in 2018.

ASTRALIS

ASTAILIS - TOP CS:GO TEAMS

ASTAILIS – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

Astralis is a Europen team, Danish organization to be more precise. They have been dominating CS:GO professional scene for a while now, and there are no teams skilled enough to challenge them. They are so good because of a few things. Mainly, they are basing their gameplay on a 5 man unit, not just around one of their star players. Secondly, their chemistry and timings are so good, that a lot of CS:GO enthusiast call them boring, because they are able to dominate any team. Furthermore, everyone on Astralis is able to step up when called upon, especially their main AWPer, Device. These are all the tournaments that Astralis took part in 2018:

Team Highlights

  • ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018 – 12-14th
  • StarLadder & i-League StarSeries Season 4 – 5-8th
  • Intel Extreme Masters XII – World Championship – 3rd-4th
  • DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018 – 1st
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Europe – 6th
  • Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Sydney – 2nd
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – Europe – 1st
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Finals – 1st
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – Finals –  1st
  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 –  3rd-4th
  • ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 – 1st
  • DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 – 2nd
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 1st
  • BLAST Pro Series: Istanbul 2018 – 1st

So far in 2018, Astralis won 7 tournaments, which is ridiculous. I do not think that there is any roster able to parry with them any time soon. Ever since they were founded in 2016, they won a total sum of $4,165,034. A lot of praises have to go to their coach as well, that being Zonic. He is pulling all the strings, and he is one of the main reason they are so successful. Fun fact, they also have a psychiatrist.

NATUS VINCERE – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

Na’vi is a Ukranian organization founded in 2012. They have been on a terror lately, however, they always fell short after facing Danish team, Astralis. Most of their play is based around one player, that being S1mple. What else to say about him, let’s just call him the best player in the world right now. He is primarily an AWPer, but he is proficient with a rifle as well, and I do not want to talk about his desert eagle skills, which are off the roof. Overall, he is a beast. But, he is not able to perform at his best 24/7. Sometimes, he will fail to deliver, and the team will suffer because of it, because there is not enough firepower, if he does not show up. However, their latest addition to the roster, Electronic, has proven himself as a very skilled player, mainly with rifles. Natus Vincere took part in 12 different tournaments so far in 2018, these are the results:

Team Highlights

  • ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • StarLadder & i-League StarSeries Season 4 – 2nd
  • DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018 – 2nd
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Europe – 3rd
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Finals – 3rd-4th
  • StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5 – 1st
  • CS:GO Asia Championships 2018 – 1st
  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 – 1st
  • ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 – 5-8th
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 2nd
  • ESL One: New York 2018 – 5-6th

As you can see from their results, the Ukranian organization is always up there with the best, but they are lacking another skilled player in their roster if they want to present a challenge to the reigning kings, Astralis. In total, Na’vi made a total of $2,743,691. Their star player managed to win 7 MVP awards from various tournaments, that shows you how good he is. He is really stepping up this year, and I can not see anyone taking his place as the best Counter-Strike:Global Offensive player of the year.

TEAM LIQUID

TEAM LIQUID - TOP CS:GO TEAMS

TEAM LIQUID – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

A North American based CS:GO team, consisted out of American, Canadian, and Brazil players. This is a team that has been on a rise as of late. However, they are always linked to a term “choke”. They will always get so close to the finish line, but somehow they just stop. That cost them a lot lately, but they are never giving up. Ever since TACO arrived they have been playing really structured, most of their plays were made on teamwork and chemistry, but they also have individuals who are able to step up in the likes of NAF and Twistzz. If they are able to sort out their choke problem, team Liquid has a lot of potential to endanger top teams in the CS:GO. They also have a Brazilian coach, Zews, who helped the team a lot, and they are showing that they are constantly improving. Unlike other teams, they are constantly playing tournaments, if we exclude qualifiers, they have played a total of 14 tournaments so far in 2018.

Team Highlights:

  • ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 – 12-14th
  • cs_summit 2 – 1st
  • StarLadder & i-League StarSeries Season 4 – 3rd
  • Intel Extreme Masters XII – World Championship – 3rd-4th
  • DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018 – 9-12th
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – North America – 1st
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – North America – 3rd
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Finals – 2nd
  • StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5 – 5-8th
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – Finals – 2nd
  • ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 – 13-16th
  • ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 – 2nd
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • ESL One: New York 2018 – 2nd

Even though team Liquid only won 2 tournaments so far this year, you can see that they are always on. They also have a total of 4 2nd place finishes, and it takes just a bit more luck and practice to lift more trophies. However, there are bright days ahead of this team and its organization, because this team is filled with potential.

MIBR

MIBR - TOP CS:GO TEAMS

MIBR – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

There is a lot of hype around this Brazilian/American roster. This is a Brazilian core, from a former SK roster. They were dominating everyone in the last couple of years, but something happened to them, as they were in a real slump. However, this team was picked up in June of 2018. They added two former members of Cloud9, Tarik and Stewie2k. Not so long ago, they decided to appoint CS:GO analyst Janko Paunovic as their coach, which helped them a lot. He has a vast knowledge when it comes to strategies and game plan. This team is mostly based on aggressive plays from fer and a super reliable rifler and secondary AWPer, Coldzera. As I said before, they were in a real slump, but they are fixing their problems on the go and you can see that from their results in 2018.

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 – 7-8th
  • ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 – 5-6th
  • ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018 – 1st
  • DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 – 5-8th
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • BLAST Pro Series: Istanbul 2018 – 2nd

MIBR did not play a lot of tournaments so far, but they definitely showed their old form. This is a team with enormous potential. They have not been together long enough in order to produce constant top 3 finishes, but they definitely will, they just need more time.

ACTIVE ROSTER:

  • Gabriel “Fallen” Toledo
  • Tarik “tarik” Celik
  • Fernando “fer” Alvarenga

FaZe CLAN

FaZe CLAN - TOP CS:GO TEAMS

FaZe CLAN – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

This is an American organization, however, their CS:GO team is representing Europe, as its consisted out of European players. Founded in 2016., this team’s potential was off the roof. CEO of FaZe Clan managed to get 5 superstar players in one team. They were all led by their in-game leader karrigan. However, they were much better last year. Also, some players probably do not want to be in shadows, as they feel that they can contribute more. Also, as of late, their new in-game leader Niko stated that they are lacking when it comes to communication in game, and how everyone is doing something as an individual, but they should be a unit, a team. Even though they are having problems, that did not stop them from winning. They played a total of 16 tournaments so far this year, these are the results:

Team Highlights:

  • ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 – 2nd
  • StarLadder & i-League StarSeries Season 4 – 4th
  • Intel Extreme Masters XII – World Champions – 2nd
  • V4 Future Sports Festival – Budapest 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018 – 5th-8th
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Europe – 4th
  • Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Sydney – 1st
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – Europe – 3rd
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Finals – 3rd-4th
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – Finals – 3rd-4th
  • ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018 – 1st
  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 – 7-8th
  • DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 – 5-8th
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 5-8th
  • ESL One: New York 2018 – 7-8th

You can see that they are in a slump at the moment, but they definitely deserve a spot in the top 10 best CS:GO teams of 2018. Also, the tournaments they won, they played with a stand-in, Cromen. This player did not mind playing the most boring role, a support player. He was making plays for the team all the time, creating space for star players to shine. Who knows, maybe this is the main problem with this roster, and they will probably make at least one change in the near future. One thing is sure if you underestimate them, they will make you pay, as they are that individually good. FaZe Clan made a total sum of $2,586,347.

MOUSESPORTS

MOUSE ESPORTS – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

A professional CS:GO organization based in Germany. This organization has a long history, as they were founded in 2002. I was always looking at this organization as a talent factory. They were always able to attract young talented players in their team. But their rise started with Niko. But they did not want to change certain players in their team, so he was sold to FaZe Clan. Not so long after that, the team went into full rebuild mode. The only player who stayed was ChrisJ. They made a core based on AWPing skills of Oskar. And lastly, they added Snax from Virtus.Pro in order to get more firepower as they benched STYKO. It took them a while to find their footing, but they are firing on all cylinders now. They played a total of 15 tournaments in 2018, and this is what they achieved:

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 – 5-8th
  • StarLadder & i-League StarSeries Season 4 – 1st
  • V4 Future Sports Festival – Budapest 2018 – 1st
  • DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018 – 5-8th
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Europe – 1st
  • Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Sydney – 3rd-4th
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – Europe – 7th
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Finals – 5th-6th
  • StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5 – 3rd-4th
  • ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018 –2nd
  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 – 9-12th
  • ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 15-16th
  • ESL One: New York 2018 – 1st

As you can see, they are a team capable of beating everyone. Winning 4 trophies in a year is not a small achievement, especially for the upcoming youngsters, this is definitely a morale booster. There are a lot of young guys in the team, starting with Ropz, who is 18 now. This is a player who has a such a big potential, and I think he can lead this Mouz roster to win many more trophies.

ACTIVE ROSTER:

NORTH – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

A Danish organization, affiliated with F.C. Copenhagen, a football club from Denmark. This team is providing constant results, however, they are struggling when they have to face the best teams out there. Recent roster shuffles are suiting this organization really well. They brought in Cadian and gade, who replaced former in-game leader MSL and mertz. This will never be a number one team in my books, but they definitely have a chance to upset, and they should always be looked on as a dark horse. They have played 13 tournaments this year, and these are the results:

Team Highlights:

  • ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 – 15-16th
  • cs_summit 2 – 5-6th
  • Intel Extreme Masters XII – World Championship – 7-8th
  • Copenhagen Games 2018 – 3-4th
  • Bets.net Masters: Season 1 – 2nd
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Europe – 9th
  • DreamHack Open Tours 2018 – 1st
  • StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5 – 3-4th
  • DreamHack Open Summer 2018 – 3-4th
  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 – 9-12th
  • DreamHack Open Valencia 2018 – 1st
  • DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 – 1st
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 17-19th

You can clearly see from their result, that this is a roster capable of winning lower tier tournaments, but once they have to step up against big guys, they struggle. However, with their latest addition, this could change, as they are improving match by match.

ACTIVE ROSTER:

  • Philip “aizy” Aistrup

BIG

BIG - TOP CS:GO TEAMS

BIG – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

This is another German CS:GO organization, who should be taken really seriously. This is mainly a German-based roster, however, their AWPer is from England. Ever since they added Smooya to their roster, they have been improving, team feels more energic, more aggressive and simply, better. When things get rough, the team can always rely on Tabsen to carry them through. And he delivered, many times. They only played 8 significant tournaments so far, and this is how they performed:

Team Highlights:

  • ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 – 12-14th
  • Play2Live Cryptomasters – 3rd-4th
  • World Electronic Sports Games 2017 – 9-12th
  • Qi Invitational – 7-8th
  • ESEA Season 27: Global Challenge – 1st
  • ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018 – 5-6th
  • ESL One: Cologne 2018 – 2nd
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 5-8th

Results will not show as much, but BIG should be considered as a darkhorse on every single tournament they take part in. They are always able to step up their game when they are underdogs, and they come out on top many times so far. They even bested Astralis not so long ago, and that tells you a lot about them. If they are able to constantly play like this, they definitely have a chance to cement themselves as one of the best teams in the world.

NRG

NRG - TOP CS:GO TEAMS

NRG – TOP CS:GO TEAMS

Yet another Nort American organization who finds themselves on this list. They have been on fire lately, all thanks to their star players, CeRq and nahtE. Their main AWPer CeRq has been brought in all the way from Bulgaria in order to help them fight the best. NRG was always “hot and cold” team, they can lose to worst teams out there, on the other hand, they can also beat the best CS:GO teams in the world. They had to play a lot of minors and qualifiers in order to perform in front of the crowd, and this is how they performed:

Team Highlights:

  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – North America – 2nd
  • Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Sydney – 9-12th
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – North America – 1st
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Finals – 9-12th
  • StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5 – 2nd
  • Esports Championship Series Season 5 – Finals – 3-4th
  • Americas Minor Championship – London 2018 – 4th
  • Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Shanghai – 1st
  • DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 – 13-16th
  • ESL One: New York 2018 – 3rd-4th

This is definitely a team that can perform under the pressure. However, they also lack consistency. They are filled with talent and firepower, but on the other hand, they are very inexperienced. NRG also needs to work out on their map pool, as they are getting crushed on certain maps because they are not preparing for them. We will see how far will CeRq be able to carry this team.

ACTIVE ROSTER:

  • Jacob “FugLy” Medina
  • Damian “daps” Steele
  • Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte
  • Cvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov
  • Ethan “nahtE” Arnold

HELLRAISERS

This is a team based in Ukraine. They are a mixture of raw skill and experience. Their two main players ISSA and woxic are brand new core of this team. Their ability to influence the game with their individual play is unbelievable. On the other hand, the experience provided by ANGE1 and bondik will help their star players to perform even better. They also had to play a lot of qualifiers this year, but they also attended some bigger tournaments. These are the results:

Team Highlights:

  • StarLadder & i-League StarSeries Season 4 – 9-11th
  • V4 Future Sports Festival – Budapest 2018 – 3rd-4th
  • Bets.net Masters: Season 1 – 1st
  • ESL Pro League Season 7 – Europe – 7th
  • DreamHack Open Tours 2018 – 2nd
  • StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5 – 12-14th
  • Moche XL Esports – 2nd
  • CIS Minor Championship – London 2018 – 1st
  • Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Shanghai – 5-6th
  • DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018 – 9-12th
  • FACEIT Major: London 2018 – 5-8th

Hellraisers proved themselves versus lower tier teams, and they are yet to compete versus the best on a regular basis. However, they recently showed that they can play versus bigger teams. This team can only improve, as I think that they are a perfect mix of skill, talent, and experience.

Being a professional in a Counter-Strike:Global Offensive requires a lot of things. Mainly, most of your time will have to be put in the game. Lack of friends, hangouts, or even girlfriend is also a probability for professional CS:GO players. Being a pro is like having a regular job, working 7-8 hours a day, but instead of working, you are sharpening your skills or studying your opponents.

On the other hand, there is a lot of money to be made, glory as well. When it comes to CS:GO, a top earner is Astralis member, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth. He earned himself a total of $965.331,80. This is the crazy amount of money, especially for a video game professional.

PROFFESIONAL CS:GO

As mentioned above, all of the professionals put a lot of time and effort into the game. When you look at their profiles, they have all spent roughly 10000 hours playing Counter-Strike:Global Offensive. They also spend a lot of their time away from their family and relatives.

However, there is a good side to being a professional. Mainly, you get to earn money doing something you love, and let’s be honest, you earn a lot of money. Furthermore, you are playing in front of thousands watching live, either from the stands or through a streaming platform. Winning a tournament after all the hours you prepared for it has to be one of the best feelings in the world. Also, you will travel all over the world, participating in different tournaments and leagues, and all of your expenses are covered. This is the main reason why most of the pros will tell you that this is their dream job.

(F0rest, a cs:go legend)

HOW TO BECOME A CS:GO PROFESSIONAL

Everything starts with you. It is the same with everything in life. In order to succeed you need to have a good plan and training routine put in place. Dedication and time are the only roads to cs:go leagues in 2020.

DEDICATION

You need to go all in. However, some players will invest more time into becoming a pro, while some will achieve that with only a couple thousand hours invested in the game. This is called talent.

When CS:GO was released, there were only a few teams competing. In 2020 you can see new teams on regular basis. Not only teams, but you can also see talented young players popping up on the radar in every tournament. All of those players had one chance to shine, and they had to step up and show themselves to the eSports community. And yes, a few years ago, it was not that hard to become a professional, but today’s competition is what brings the best out of players.

PRACTICE CS:GO ON A REGULAR BASIS

If you want to improve, you will have to practice. As easy as that. Once again, we are back to the point where you will have to invest time to achieve something. CS:GO is based on aim, map control, communication, game sens, and team play. You can work on some of these aspects, but some will have to be grinded out with experience. For instance, you can play headshot only servers, for 5 days in a week, 2 hours a day. After 2-3 weeks, you will start dominating players from your skill level. But once you climb up, you will face smarter and sharper enemies, who are very experienced. And there is not much you can do about it, except keep on playing.

Furthermore, if you want to achieve something as a solo player, you won’t go far. The best advice I can give you is to find yourself a team to play with. There are a lot of sites out there made for solo players to find decent teammates to climb the ranks with. Counter-Strike:Global Offensive is based on team play and chemistry, which will improve the more you and your team play together.

Another thing that you will have to work on is your utility usage. Throwing a good smoke grenade, or flashbang or even molotov can greatly increase your chance of winning the round. Especially if you are playing in a team of 5 players. A proper grenade can get you out of uncomfortable situations and it can also set up a good play for you our your teammates. There are a lot of utility tutorials on youtube, learning some of those will help you a lot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROxONtMBL6Y&t=436s(Mirage utility usage, credits to HattonGames)

PC SETUP

You can have an advantage of your opponents, but it will cost you money. For instance, having a good processor and graphics card will make your CS:GO experience lag and stutter free. Furthermore, if you have extra money then you should definitely get yourself a 144 Hz monitor. But the most important things are mouse and keyboard. Let’s just say that 85% of professionals use ZOWIE’s mouses and HyperX keyboard. However, having a mechanical keyboard will improve your strafing and moving around the map.

CS:GO LEAGUES & TOURNAMENTS

Professional Counter-Strike:Global Offensive players compete in numerous different tournaments and leagues. Some of the teams even skip certain tournaments in order to rest and regain their composure. Let’s take October as an example. There are 4 leagues taking place:

ECS Season 6 Europe

ECS Season 6 North America

ESL Pro League Season 8 Europe

ESL Pro League Season 8 North America

We also recommend you to visit csgo betting sites where you can easily bet on your favorite team.

TOURNAMENTS

There are 17 different tournaments announced in October of 2020. This is a big number. There are some lower tier tournaments, and there are some that will attract top teams in the world. The last tournament with big prize pool took part in New York, it was a tournament form an ESL One series. The total prize pool was $250.000, and the winner was taking home a whopping $125.000. Tournaments are also being played in front of the sold-out stadiums and arenas. CS:GO is so popular that they managed to sell out and entire Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

(ESL One New York 2018 crowd)

CONCLUSION

The most important thing in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive is to learn from your mistakes. You constantly make mistakes, starting with your positioning, crosshair placement, utility usage. In order to go pro, you will have to reduce the number of mistakes you do. You will also have to be relaxed and passionate about the game. To conclude, if you keep on training and striving to be the best, you will definitely have a proper chance to prove that you deserve a contract with a CS:GO professional team. Simply, keep on improving.

What is your training routine, how do you improve? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is among the best and most popular first-person shooter video games. What made it popular, is its competitiveness. Furthermore, enormous prize pools and huge fan base definitely shaped today’s CS:GO as an eSport.

CS:GO is a very simple game. There are two teams fighting to win 16 rounds. In order to put rounds on the board, you will have to buy weapons, armor, and grenades. But this itself is not enough, you will also have to kill your opponents. When its explained like this, at first it seems very simple. However, once you look at the Counter-Strike:Global Offensive professional scene, you will probably get a headache. Some say that CS:GO is all about aiming, point and shoot. But that is not the case. This game is all about synergy and strategy. If a team wants to be the best, a lot of time and effort will have to be put in. Today it’s really common to bet on csgo as well so if you would like to read more about csgo match betting you’re welcome.

(the best CS:GO team in the world)

WHAT TYPE OF PLAYER ARE YOU?

There are several game modes in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive. There are, of course, modes for casual and competitive players. Casual players are more of a relaxed type, whose goal is to have fun. On the other hand, we have competitive players, who will push their limits in order to win. Lastly, we have professional CS:GO players, who do this for a living.

In my personal opinion, casual CS:GO does not entertain me at all. However, it provides the same experience as the other popular fps games. Furthermore, I think that this game is built for people who enjoy challenging others and themselves.

In the end, the most special type of players, professionals. Most of the competitive type of players have dreams to go pro. Becoming a pro is not easy. You have to dedicate a lot of time and effort to be the best.

HOW TO PLAY CS:GO?

The main mode played in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive is a defusal mode. It’s a standard 5v5 mode, where the Terrorist side will try to plant a bomb, while the Counter Terrorist side will have to either defuse to bomb or defend the bombsite.  However, you can also win a round by eliminating all 5 of your opponents.

COMPETITIVE GAME

There are 30 rounds in total. However, one team needs to win 16 rounds in order to win the match. Furthermore, it may also end up in a draw, with a 15-15 scoreline. First 15 rounds, you will play either as a T or CT, after the halftime(15 rounds), you will switch sides. Some third-party server providers will also include overtime. Unfortunately, this is not the case with official CS:GO matchmaking.

PISTOL ROUNDS

1st and 16th round are called pistol rounds. Both sides, T and CT will only have $800 to invest, either in kevlar, or defuse kit(as CT), or even grenades. All of you will also have only default pistols, but you can decide to invest in a better one. Stock pistols are Glock-18 for the Terrorist side and USP-S for Counter-Terrorist side.

COUNTER-STRIKE:GLOBAL OFFENSIVE RANKS

LOW RANKS: all the way from Silver I to Gold Nova Master is considered newbish. But do not be discouraged by this. If you decide to put an extra effort into the game, you will be out of these ranks in no time. Mostly, people stuck on this rank are either casual players, or they have just picked up CS:GO and started competing.

MEDIUM RANKS: players from Master Guardian I to Legendary Eagle, are considered medium skilled players. They know all the basics, they have a decent aim and movement mechanics. In my personal opinion, experienced CS:GO players that are stuck here are not willing to put in extra effort in order to climb above their ranks.

HIGH RANKS: There are 3 ranks which are considered most skilled. Those are Legendary Eagle Master, Supreme Master First Class, and The Global Elite. As you can see from the chart, these 3 groups are consisted out of 8.06% of total CS:GO matchmaking players. These people are very skilled when it comes to raw aim, movement, utility usage, and game sense. These people invested a lot of time into this game, so believe me when I say it, a lot of dedication and effort has to be invested in order to reach the top, that being THE GLOBAL ELITE.

HOW TO IMPROVE IN COUNTER-STRIKE:GLOBAL OFFENSIVE

In a competitive game, a lot of people will look for advantages over their opponents. Commonly used strategies are headshot only severs, retake servers, different aim maps, workshop maps, etc. I assure you that you will improve a lot if you dedicate an hour of your time on any of the strategies I mentioned above. You will also notice it yourself, your aim will become more dynamic, stable and controlled. Furthermore, you will also learn how to move more naturally, and how to achieve a good crosshair placement.

One more thing you should know, professional players do this for their living. They practice at least 4-5 hours every day. Just by watching some of them, you will see how burned out they look sometimes. There has to be a lot of sacrifice and dedication put in to achieve your goals. These are just some of the basic guidelines to help you improve.

What would betting be without good old statistics?

Whether you have been betting on CSGO from the early days or you switched over from regular sports betting there is only one true way of preparing a bet — through statistics.

Now, I am not taking intuition out of the equation. We all know how important sixth sense is when it comes to eSports, but in a market as volatile as this, it would be better to just burn your money straight away than to place a bet only if you have a hunch that one team will win.

Because, let’s face it, not even the bookies yet have a good way of predicting a match winner. So, how can we? Read more

With IEM Oakland around the corner (November 16-20), I wanted to do a bit of research and give you guys a complete breakdown of the current form of our favorite CSGO teams.

But, first, let’s go over some important introductory notes for our fellow gamers who have just tuned in to watching competitive gaming.

Intel Extreme Masters is an eSports tournament organized by ESL and it exists since 2006. It has featured three major games: CSGO, SC 2 and LoL, but in the latest season we only have competitions in CSGO and LoL.

The event takes place in Oakland’s Oracle Arena — the place where Steph Curry puts on a basketball clinic every now and then.

The total prize money is $400,000 and it’s split in the following way: Read more
