Their main premise appears to be awesome: while you’re watching or playing a game, you can place a bet on your favorites and earn stuff.

However, the facts we’re working with here are not that straightforward.

See, even though we received reports of Twitch introducing a new currency, we still don’t know their exact plan of action or, let’s say, a main strategy.

Match fixing is one of the most talked about topics in today’s esports scene. It has been in the headlines extensively in 2016 and 2017, following  the biggest cheating scandal in Korea at the end of 2015, when 12 people were arrested on the charges of fixing a number Starcraft 2 matches. Because, let’s face it – analytics are good and all but they’re not telling you the story of real people, traveling through miscellaneous websites on their way to their next adrenaline fix.

Which is basically what this website teaches you to do, through betting on your favorite video game.

But does a betting website have to just be about busting out countless match predictions and praying to God that your readers will not take revenge if they lose money?

No. On the contrary.

We conducted a poll on visitors from United States, Canada, Sweden, Germany, Portugal, Brazil, Australia and Poland. Have in mind that we are a fairly new website so we had to settle on these countries and a limited, but statistically relevant, sample of 1,000 unique users.

We asked our Troopers (that’s what we call our visitors, crazy, I know) an open-ended and anonymous question:

How did you get started with eSports betting?

Soon enough, the replies started rolling in. Read more

Today I’m going to show you how you contributed to the massive growth of competitive gaming in 2016.

But let me just get one thing out first:

I feel bad for people who missed out on all of the excitement that we had this year.
