What is Street Fighter V?
To start off with, Street Fighter V is a sequel to the older version of Street Fighter II V. Basically, Street Fighter is a fighting game developed by Capcom and Dimps. Even though it was released in early 2016, it became very popular in the Esports world, simply because the game was highly competitive.
SFV is released for both PlayStation and PC gamers. Furthermore, cross-platform has been introduced between these two versions of the game. Also, all the professional events are played on PlayStation.
There are a lot of ways to enjoy Street Fighter V. Firstly, there is a single player mode, but that is not really interesting for us. We are more concerned about SFV as an Esports title. Street Fighter is based on a player versus player battles where only one player can advance to the later stages of a tournament.
How to play SFV
There are a couple of things you need to pay attention to once your game is live. Firstly, you need to keep an eye on your health bar, which will determine your game style, aggressive or passive. Furthermore, in most cases, you will have to win three rounds in order to win the match.
Secondly, you need to be careful once your stun gauge starts filling up. Basically, it will fill up if you take constant damage. Once capped you will be stunned for a brief period of time which will leave you in the whole world of trouble. Also, if you forgot how many rounds you won, you will have a reminder on the screen, marked with a V, just above the timer.
Lastly, V-gauge is located on the bottom left or right side of the screen. This gauge will fill as you take damage or if you hit your opponent with your V-skill. Once charged you will be able to launch V-Trigger or V-Reversal. Every character is different when it comes to the number of V-Gauges available. Keep in mind that unused V-Gauges will not be transferred to the next round. Your Critical Gauge will fill once you start dealing damage to your opponent. Once this gauge is capped you will be able to use powerful special and critical moves. Critical Gauge can be transferred to the next round, unlike V-Gauge.

Another thing you need to understand is that Esports was not even on the map once Street Fighter V was firstly released. However, now that Esports is a big thing in the world, this game finally got the recognition it deserved after entertaining generations of players for over 30 years. If someone deserved a spot among the best Esports titles on the market then SFV is definitely among those titles.
